  1. INTRODUCTION:

  4. ZING.PAT is useful for ZING! V1.02 owners only!  ZING.PAT is
  5. a patch program to allow you to make changes to ZING! programs 
  6. that may make using ZING! easier.
  7.  
  8. Many ZING! owners have expressed a desire to have the HOTKEY F1
  9. come up under a different device than DF0: by default.  The first
  10. part of ZING.PAT allows you to do this.
  11.  
  12. ASDG, Inc. recently released a Recoverable RAM device driver.  This
  13. driver creates a new device known as VD0:.  Many ZING! owners have
  14. asked how ZING! can support this device.  The second part of ZING.PAT
  15. allows you to replace one of the 7 default device gadgets (DF0:, DF1:,
  16. DF2:, DF3:, DH0:, DH1:, and RAM:), with a device of your choice.

  23. ** WARNING:  ZING.PAT WILL PHYSICALLY CHANGE ZING! AND ZINGUP!
  24.              MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKUPS OF THESE FILES AVAILABLE!

  26. 1) Make sure the files: 'ZING!' and 'zingup' are in the C: 
  27.    directory.  The best way to do this is to boot up under
  28.    your ZING! disk.
  29.  
  30. 2) Go into CLI and start the ZING.PAT program. (Make sure your
  31.    CLI window is at full screen size.

  33. 3) Follow the instructions provided there.
